Tofarget does not collect any data. Everything you enter — your charts, your projects, your yarn notes, your photos — stays on your device. The app makes no network requests, has no account, no ads and no analytics.
What Tofarget stores, and where
All information you put into Tofarget is saved locally in the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad:
- Your chart designs (the grid of background and pattern squares), repeats and motifs you place.
- Your projects: yarn brand text, chosen colour swatches, needle size, stitch count, knitting method, start date, and any notes you type.
- Photos of your knitting that you choose to attach to a project.
- Your row and round progress, streaks, and the laurels (in-app milestones) you've earned.
- Your app settings: haptics, sound, float-catch limit, default flat-knitting method and reminder time.
None of this leaves your device. There is no server, no account, and no sync. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it.
Camera
Tofarget asks for camera access only when you tap "Take a photo" on a project, so you can attach a picture of your knitting in progress. The photo is saved directly into the app's own storage. Tofarget never uploads a photo anywhere.
Photo library
When you choose "Choose from library" instead, Tofarget uses Apple's system photo picker. The picker runs outside the app: Tofarget only receives the single photo you select and never sees or browses the rest of your library.
Notifications
If you turn on the evening knitting reminder in Settings, Tofarget schedules a single local notification on your device at the time you choose. This notification is generated and delivered entirely on-device. Tofarget does not use push notifications and no notification data is sent anywhere.
Tracking and third parties
Tofarget contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting service, and no third-party software development kit of any kind. It does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not share data with anyone because it collects none.
Data collection under App Store guidelines
Tofarget's App Store Privacy Nutrition Label states Data Not Collected: no data is collected from this app.
Children's privacy
Tofarget is a general-audience knitting tool. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page along with a revised date below.
